History of MAAUHS, Bailhongal

The year 1968 was the golden year for those students who passed out their VII std. exam through Urdu medium.  In that year a Urdu medium high school was established in Bailhongal.  It was named as “Maulana Abulkalam Azad Urdu High School". Bailhongal some well thought-out personalities came forward to establish a society called TANZEEM Education Society, Bailhongal in the year 1967.  This society started to run the High School without aid from the government for first three years.  The Government started aid in the year 1971. Till then the management successfully bare all the expenses including the salaries of the staff of the school.

The first academic year of the Higher School commenced in the month of June 1968 with 30 students including 11 girls. The staff was consisted of two regular teachers, a clerk, one peon-cum-watchman.  There were three honorary teachers teaching craft, drawing and Hindi of the two regular teachers, one Janab H. S. Yaragatti was the Headmaster. He was taken as aa lean from M. J. High School Bailhongal.  The other Asst. Teacher was Janab M. M. Tigadi.

At the initial months Haji Md. Shaikh was the chairman of the society.  After him Haji Mohiuddin Saheb Kittur was the chairman and the High School started functioning under his chairmanship.
